![]() It has been a weak spot in the team for several years and it ought to be one of United's leading priority positions to improve in the next phase of their rebuilding project. United needed an upgraded right-back in the summer more than they needed a new left-back. However, despite a solid start to the season, Dalot, who you could argue has been one of United's most improved players under Ten Hag so far, continues to face regular questioning about his long-term place in the team and his suitability. He has become a mainstay in the Dutchman's thinking and is unlikely to be dislodged anytime soon. Unlike on the other side of the defence, Wan-Bissaka, ahead of pre-season, was not going to be battling it out with a handful of competitors for a starting berth Diogo Dalot was his only senior challenger and the Portuguese has established himself as Ten Hag's first choice right-back so far this term, starting every game in the Premier League and Europa League. With that particular statistic in mind, there is next to no chance of him reviving his United career. The former Crystal Palace man has failed to justify his big-money move to Old Trafford since arriving in 2019 and has been restricted to a paltry four minutes worth of football so far this season. Manager Erik ten Hag had barely had time to familiarise himself with his new surroundings and it was already emerging that Aaron Wan-Bissaka was not going to play a prominent role in his plans. The landscape of the situation has changed.īy contrast United did not strengthen at right-back, despite being open to doing so. However, just three months on, Malacia is now United's first choice left-back, Shaw is keeping him on his toes, Williams is out of favour, and Telles and Fernandez are out on loan. ![]() READ MORE: Ten Hag must do what he did after Brentford loss following United's latest humiliation The idea of recruiting a fifth left-back, particularly a virtually unknown one, seemed needless. ![]() Luke Shaw was at the head of the pecking order, Alex Telles was available in reserve, Brandon Williams had returned from a loan spell at Norwich City and Alvaro Fernandez had been making a name for himself at youth-level. While the recordings are stored on the TF card, they are placed in different folders on the TF/Micro SD card. ![]() Long pressing Play/Pause starts a memory scan with automatic storage. Stations can be stored manually by long-pressing the 5 key (sub-labeled MEMO), the number, and pressing Play/Pause. There are memory presets: 80 on FM, 60 on MW and 300 on shortwave. Stepping is quite slow, about 1 second per frequency change. You can also enter the frequency directly on the number keys and short press Play/Pause. Repeatedly pressing the SW button selects the various shortwave bands. The MP3 track controls double as tune up/down buttons, and long presses scan for the next station. It was a weak signal on my PL-330, but very weak on the on the ZWS-603 (with a shorter antenna), but it does demonstrate that the radio doesn’t mute very weak signals. I tried daytime reception of WWV on 15 MHz around noon local time. FM was good as was shortwave, not on par with my Tecsun PL-660, but still c0mpetitive. I could hear stations but all were very noisy. At midnight I could not get a single clear AM station. I’ll say right off the bat that AM performance sucks. ![]() Grundig eton g1100 digital world receiver radio full#As it comes, the full low FM range is available and the AM step is 10 kHz. This device is sold as a radio, and it is that. The user can pick a particular song by number, entering the number on the numeric keys. When plugged into the computer, songs can be copied directly to the TF/Micro SD card in the radio. It displays the file names on the screen. It has a the typical controls for Next track, Previous Track and Play/Pause. Grundig eton g1100 digital world receiver radio tv#I was readily able to connect the radio to my Samsung TV via Bluetooth, but I had to try twice before it showed up on my Windows computer. Grundig eton g1100 digital world receiver radio Bluetooth#Switching between MP3, auxiliary audio cable (supplied) or Bluetooth input is accomplished with a Mode button. Note that the radio cannot be used when the USB cable is connected to a computer, although it can be used when connected to a dumb charger. According to the advertising, it will also display lyrics for files with them. When playing a music file, the file name is displayed. I’m happy to report that music files inside directories are accessible by the radio. The radio became a speaker for the computer, and the TF card in the radio because accessible as a disk for the computer, where I could copy files. Grundig eton g1100 digital world receiver radio driver#Nothing happened except that the battery in the radio started charging however, when I explicitly followed the instructions by plugging in the supplied USB cable directly into the computer, Windows installed a driver for the radio. I plugged a USB cable into the radio and my Windows computer’s USB hub. In actual use, I didn’t find myself stumbling because of multiple use of a button (something that has been a problem with my Tecsun PL-330). The MP3 Next/Previous track doubles for up/down tuning in the radio, since it has no tuning knob (or knob of any kind). The volume control doubles as a “next station memory” button with a long-press to change the volume. Multi-use buttons are not unusual, but these will take some getting used to. The radio has relatively few buttons for its functionality, which means that many of the buttons serve dual functions. Just as MP3 players have a Play/Pause button, this radio uses the same button provided for its MP3 function to mute the radio. Grundig eton g1100 digital world receiver radio portable#One feature that I have never before seen in a portable shortwave radio is a “Mute” button. While the display is visible, the button labels are tiny and very difficult to read except in strong light. Also because of the dot matrix design, the radio can put up very large characters, including a very visible frequency display. It can switch languages and display English, Chinese and Japanese. This means that it can display menus and draw pictures. I’ve come to expect digital displays to consist of 7-segment digits, or predefined messages or bars on the display, but the ZWS-603 is a general dot-matrix screen. First, it combines a shortwave radio, an MP3 player, a sound recorder and a Bluetooth speaker. This one is not like anything I’ve used before in several ways. Zhiwhis ZWS-603 radio, Bluetooth speaker, MP3 player What’s unusual about this radio The ZHIWHIS XWS-603 appears to be the same radio as the HanRongDo K-603. ![]() ![]() ![]() Naturally, you don’t really go into towns anymore and the sidequests dry up. After this section, though, the game completely shifts gears and you’re told to go collect four MacGuffins from the season temples. These places are large and packed with NPCs that offer sidequests, although most of those NPCs stand motionlessly. The first couple of hours see Ary traveling to various settlements in order to move the story forward. The structure of Ary and the Secret of Seasons is similarly uneven. It’s way too heavy for this game’s tone and the characters just forget about it. At best he just knew it and did nothing to stop it. ![]() ![]() At one point, you learn that a major character is at worst possibly responsible for children being abducted and forced into slavery. Certain major plot developments show up and then are never spoken of again. Despite that, the story is oddly-paced and the enemy threat is ill-defined and not very threatening at all. They’re not overly long but I enjoyed them when they came around, as they have a very Saturday morning cartoon feel to them. The cutscenes are well-animated and have strong voice acting. As such, he’s in no shape to go meet with the others and Ary goes in his stead. Her father, the guardian of Winter, is wracked with despair after Ary’s older brother Flynn goes missing. The seasons are out of whack due to some strange goings-on and the local guardians are set to convene. However, it simply didn’t get far enough into development to get there.Īry and the Secret of Seasons tells the story of Aryelle as she fights to restore order and balance to the world around her. With more time and polish, this could be a good game. If I didn’t know that I’d played the launch build, I’d assume it was an alpha. The game simply isn’t even close to ready for launch. A lot of love and talent clearly went into making the game and it can be a good amount of fun a lot of the time. Ary and the Secret of Seasons has a large, colorful game world that aims to occupy the same space as the Zelda games. Many of these can only be fixed with a restart.I love ambitious games made by smaller teams. Ary clips into the scenery and can’t be rescued. Waypoints, or even the entire overworld map, disappear. Button inputs aren’t recognised or are delayed. Broken linksĪnd that’s not the only glitch – in fact, Ary and the Secret of Seasons is riddled with bugs and issues. It would be fun, if the game didn’t glitch out repeatedly, forcing me to restart the entire battle more than once. One example against a birdlike creature is more inventive and gives the game a Shadow of the Colossus-stye moment with its mix of platforming and combat. And where Zelda flourishes in its rising tension towards a boss, here the pacing is sluggish, and the mechanical golems sometimes don’t even fight. ARY AND THE SECRET OF SEASONS MAP PLUSA lack of map and unreliable controls don’t help, plus platforming sections are made needlessly difficult by a floaty jump and no character shadow to assess positioning. Combined, there are some tricky puzzles, though they’re less complexly designed and more convoluted without clarity. Ary’s ability to wield the seasons might be stolen from Capcom’s Zelda title, but it has some interesting (if simple) implementation: from vanishing water levels to climbable vines and icy platforms appearing in mid-air. It’s in the dungeons that the game does show some promise. ARY AND THE SECRET OF SEASONS MAP UPGRADEAn upgrade system also exists but is entirely missable. Worse, there is zero incentive to engage in combat, meaning 90% of the time it can be completely avoided. ![]() Combat, meanwhile, is a basic button-mashing affair against repeated enemies, though the musical feedback is a nice touch. Fetch quests are abundant and largely pointless: one in particular tasks you with finding a lost sheep, following waypoints only for the quest-giver to discover the sheep was right behind them all along. The game’s structure follows the typical Zelda template, but neither the overworld nor the dungeons live up to their potential. ![]() ![]() ![]() It is particularly used when the setting has The Black Death or its equivalent featured. Thus, a plague doctor's outfit is a typical go-to creepy costume, the resemblance to both The Grim Reaper and Creepy Crows doing this effect no harm at all. The costume itself was associated with death (where there's plague, commonly known as the black death, there's the beak doctors), which has become deeply ingrained in popular culture. We now know that the miasma theory is false, but the full-body leather costume did a good job protecting doctors from exposure to infection, and the mask blocked airborne infections (especially if the plants contained phytoncides), thus the plague doctor's outfit is essentially a grandfather to our modern mask-and-labcoat medical uniforms even more so to hazmat suits. The explanation behind the beak mask is simple: according to the miasma theory of infection, diseases essentially transfer via the poisonous stench, and the doctors protected themselves from inhaling it by placing various herbs, flowers and other aromatic substances inside the beak. #THE PLAGUE DOCTOR MASK PAYDAY 2 FULL#Interestingly, the beak mask itself predates the full head-to-toe protective garment, invented in the fourteenth century. ![]() 3A Transformers G1 3a Visell 3a-2000ad 3a-ava 3a-beijing 3A-Black Widow 3a-capcom 3A-Captain America 3a-coarse 3a-comics 3a-DESTINY 3A-Die Antwoord 3A-IRONMAN 3A-Johnny Alpha 3a-Judge Fear 3a-Judge Mortis 3A-JudgeDeath 3a-kojima 3a-losplanet 3a-mak 3a-martin 3a-marvel 3a-MGS 3A-MGS-RAY 3a-microman 3A-NYTF2014 3A-Optimus 3a-realsteel 3A-SDCC2015 3a-showcase 3a-spawn 3a-square 3A-STAR WARS 3A-Steel Age 3a-StrontiumDog 3a-taiwan 3a-tankgirl 3a-Transformers 3A-ULTRON 3a-venture 3a-And now for the story behind it.Ī plague doctor is a physician specializing on tending to those who suffered from the bubonic plague. 16bit 16M Design 18 Uppercut 1983 Toys 1am 20 inch dunny 20/20 2000AD 2008-wrap-tre 2013 MINICEL CUSTOM SHOW MANILA 2013 REVIEWED 2013-END 2016 Best Nine 2017BestNine 2018 DesignerCon Toy Watch 2020 ENDS 2020 Tokyo Olympics 2021 Unbox Christmas Countdown 20RANGERS20YEARS 20th Century Fox 20thcenturyboys 21LIONS 222kawaii 24 24hcdsg 24hcdsg 2017 24hcdsg 2019 25April 27fools 2bitHACK 2K4 2nd2friend 2oz 2petalrose 3 BALLS 3 kingdoms 300 300-rise 3300 35MechatroWeGo 360toygroup 36chambers 3a 3a associates 3A DOOM 3A Geof Darrow 3A Hasbro 3A Judge Dredd 3A Judge Dredd Apocalypse War 3A Last Knight 3A MEGATRON 3A Old City Blues 3A Paul Pope 3A Punisher 3a Rusted Optimus 3A Shaolin Cowboy 3A SPIDERMAN 3A Toys Bravest Warriors. #DRAWDANGERDOG #KeepFightingNYC #listeningto #MyBestof2018 #OnceUponADeadpool #sparktoyjoy #TodayonTOYSREVIL #TopTenToysof2018 #TopTenToysof2021 #toynews #TOYSfor2019 #TOYSREVIL14 #TOYSREVILTop9for2021 #WhatsNewin2020 007 009 009 SPACE WALKER 009RECYBORG 1-minute review 1/12 1/18 1/35 1/4 1/6 1/6 bags 1/6 batpod 1/6 customs 1/6 femme 1/6 jackiechan 1/6 jaychou 1/6 kiss 1/6 kitbash 1/6 SAFS 1/6 singster 1/6 sneaks 1/6 tumbler 1/6 vehicles 1/6-24 1/6-godfather 1/6-hobbyweek 1/6-titans 1/6-vito 10 Cloverfield Lane 100 SOFT 100-smurf-mara 100% Soft 100%Soft 1000% 100000 horsepower 1000monsters 1000monsters 2 1000monsters 3 1000tentacles 1000Tentacles BJD 1000Tentacles Star Wars 1000Tentacles Star Wars 2 1000Tentacles Star Wars 3 1000Tentacles Wild Things 1000toys 1000TOYS for STGCC2017 100soft 103 NO WAR 109 HOPE 10doh 10KonFB 10X10 10yearsablog 11808 11pixsfor2011 12 MONTHS APO FROGS 123klan 12daysofxmas 12daysofxmas2012 12th Park 12x2012 13 Dunny 13 Lucky Monkey 13ART 13x2013 13x2013-END. ![]() ![]() ![]() Whether you’re attending a promotional event, business meeting, trade show or product launch, it’s essential to grab marketing opportunities when you see them. In both South Berwick and Lenox, the Bible Speaks developed a considerable local presence, not only through drawing large numbers of young adults into these small communities as Bible school students, but also through operating extensive Sunday School operations, with a private fleet of retired school buses for bringing in children from the surrounding area. In 2006, this program won an Angel award for Excellence in Media. The cornerstone of Stevens' career in Christian broadcasting was the call-in radio show he hosted, originally known as "Telephone Time", now called "Grace Hour". As a result, Carl Stevens moved the "home base" of his organization to a former private boarding school facility which they were able to purchase in Lenox, Massachusetts. In 1976, the school grew beyond its capacity. Expanded radio and television outreaches continued to draw in new followers and-both through church planting operations by the organization's Bible school students and graduates, and existing churches affiliating themselves with Stevens' organization-a network of "branch ministries" began to develop. There "The Bible Speaks" became the name of the church, and "the Northeast School of the Bible" was renamed as "Stevens School of the Bible". In 1973, following an arson attack on their church building and a controversial church split, Stevens and his closest followers moved the center of their operations to a former Catholic school facility in South Berwick, Maine. He also began to experiment with radio evangelism, with a program called "Telephone Time." From there Stevens went on to minister at the Woolwich-Wiscasset Baptist Church, and establish the Northeast School of the Bible in 1972. Stevens was later ordained by a council of independent ministers at the Montsweag Baptist Church on March 7, 1963. Stevens Jr., a bakery truck driver, was praying at Wortheley Pond near Peru, Maine, and developed a vision for a worldwide Christian ministry. The church leadership is strongly anti-homosexual and anti-abortion. 2:12, but allows women to lead in just about any other capacity. The organization limits the pastorate and/or homiletic role to men due to a literal interpretation of I Tim. The organization has a 10-point Doctrinal Statement available on its website. Evangelism, raps (devotionals, or informal Q&A meetings, usually following sermons, but also held at various times throughout the week, most notably during lunch hour), and informal Bible study are also considered important acts of worship. An "offering song" is also sung during the taking of the offering, which is often sung by a member of the congregation who is not a regular member of the worship team, or by one of the churches choirs. Songs are usually contemporary, but classical hymns are also sung on account of the wide range of ages among members. Worship is non-liturgical but is generally structured as follows: (singing) announcements, worship (singing), offering, opening prayer, sermon, closing prayer/benediction/alter call,(singing) closing announcements. The beliefs of Greater Grace are outlined in its doctrinal statement and detailed in booklets written by Carl H. Indeed, the residence is a “piece of heaven” for the Laufers, who appeared fastidious about keeping their place spotless. Is that your daddy? He owes you big for having to sit here.”Īt a June fundraiser in Beverly Hills, California, at the home of billionaire media mogul Haim Saban, the president mused to Saban’s wife, Cheryl, that both men had “married way above our station.” And standing in the 65th-floor apartment of Henry and Marsha Laufer overlooking New York’s Central Park, Biden gushed over the “magnificent” view, noting: “I don’t know if there’s a better view in New York than here.” “Honey, what’s your name?” Biden asked a little girl, sitting through what he joked had to be the most “boring” event. For instance, at a late August fundraiser in the Washington suburbs, Biden first spent some time giving a child near the front of the gathering a bit of attention and then the president gave his remarks for several dozen big-dollar DNC supporters. A pair of fundraisers at mansions in Southern California during the Summit of the Americas in June raked in $5 million in a matter of hours.Ī famously chummy politician, Biden makes sure at any big-dollar event that his hosts are made to feel special and recognized. The events have ranged from a $300,000 haul at a yacht club in Portland, Oregon, to a cozy, 18-person affair (with four others on video screens) at Hotel Washington near the White House that took in more than $3 million. So far this year, Biden has headlined 11 receptions to raise cash directly for the Democratic National Committee, and they have brought in more than $19.6 million, according to the committee. “He gets all kinds of questions, he answers them honestly, he probably gives his staff heart attacks.” He’s real, he’s down to earth, if he knows the people in the room … he’s even more relaxed,” said Rep. The fundraisers - held in lavish Manhattan apartments, drab conference centers and backyard tents glammed up with chandeliers - have been one of the most visible ways Biden has been deployed this election year at a time when his approval ratings remain underwater and many Democrats aren’t eager to stand by him on the campaign trail. At these events, celebrities are spotted and alcohol is consumed, while Biden gets the one-on-one interactions he had missed for much of his campaign and presidency due to COVID-19. It’s one glimpse of Biden as fundraiser in chief - a man who schmoozes with aplomb while raking in millions at receptions that will be a fixture of his political schedule during the final stretch before Election Day, Nov. The crowd of a few dozen, as they always do, chuckled as the president continued with the rest of his remarks. “If that’s Trump calling me again, tell him I’m busy,” Biden said at an event this past week for the Democratic Governors Association, repeating a variation of the quip he also relayed during receptions in Illinois and New York earlier this year.
